2018 Is Coming! Do You Have A Plan?

Many are okay with being taken advantage of, but most of you are not. When I say, “you need a plan,” I’m talking to those of you who are not.

Like Jay Z said,”I’m not a businessman, I’m a business…man.”

If you’re a ARTIST, ENTREPRENEUR, MUSICIAN, DANCER, ATHLETE, or CREATOR of any kind you are a business.

Having a plan will help you reduce the number of self inflicted wounds you’re more than likely to incur, save you a lot of wasted time, reduce the probability of being taken advantage of, and increase the probability of long term sustainable, consistent, success.

Planning forces you to think about how to succeed, how to move forward, (how much that will cost,  and how to overcome the obstacles you might discover along the way.

A business plan isn’t something that just forces you to think ahead, it’s preparation for your next pitch to that big investor, a tool to help market and promote your brand, attract a potential label, or a way to raise funding. That business plan explains:

The Overall Cost
– How much you need to contribute.
– Who will help you.
– How your investors get repaid, and get a return on their investment.
– What positions are needed, Who you will hire, and How you will pay them.
– The organizational structure of your company.

Keep your business plan concise and short  without sacrificing content. Don’t be intimidated at the thought of writing a plan.

Here’s what needs to be included in your plan:

– Table of Contents
– Executive Summary
– General Brand or Company Description
– Services and/or Products
– Marketing Plan
– Operational Plan
– Management and Organization
– Start-up Expenses and Capitalization
– Financial Plan
